Short Hills Tops 10 Richest Zip Codes in America

SHORT HILLS, NJ – In a recent ranking of America’s wealthiest zip codes, by New York City based media company Guest of a Guest, Short Hills tops the list. The published ranking is based on data contributed by Business Insider and Find the Best.

GofaG states that nearly seven in 10 households in Short Hills earn more than $150,000 per year. Time magazine published their rankings of the wealthiest zip codes in America in May of 2014, supporting GofaG’s findings that 69.4 percent of households in Short Hills earn more than $150,000.  Short Hills ranked No. 1 on the Time magazine list.

In 2015, Forbes magazine published a ranking placing Short Hills (07078) No. 105 of the most expensive zip codes.  Their ranking was based on the median price of homes rather than household incomes. According to Forbes, the median price for a home in Short Hills is $2,117,485. Atherton, Calif. (94027) topped the Forbes list, with a median home price of $1,564,038.
